Snoqualmie Valley YMCA/Community Center to open January 2012
The latest Stanley Roofing project − The Snoqualmie Valley YMCA/Community Center − is the fourth LEED facility created as a result of the work of leading construction specialists in the Puget Sound. Since 1954, Stanley has been a leading provider of roofing systems to the region’s premier companies.
The Snoqualmie building featured collaboration with general contractor GLY Construction (www.gly.com), architects Lance Mueller & Associates (www.lma-architects.com), City of Snoqualmie (www.wallaceproperties.com). This group of specialists has worked together on several YMCA facilities in Seattle, Sea Tac, Auburn, Mill Creek, Newcastle and Snohomish.
Since the conception of the Snoqualmie Ridge Master Plan Community, there have been plans to construct a Snoqualmie Community Center. The building is located in Snoqualmie Community Park, 35018 SE Ridge Street, next to Cascade View Elementary School in the open area next to the tennis courts. Those courts will remain.
Stanley President Kent Stanley says the challenges included a complicated schedule with multiple crew and equipment mobilizations. “Several of our vendors played a vital role to make this project successful, such as Pioneer Building Supply. I want to recognize their excellent crane operators.”

Kent Stanley says he’s most proud of the LEED materials such as roofing and reflective cap sheets from Malarkey, a leading manufacturer.
